The Haydn DNA is to offer high-quality products at a fair price and to make sure that you have a superb experience with our brand from the satisfaction of the items you receive, to the service and warranty on our products.
If you are not satisfied with what you have purchased for any reason, someone at Haydn wants to hear about it and make it right! If you do not have a positive experience, we will do whatever is in our power to satisfy you and grow from that experience and improve as a brand.
We are, however, very confident that you will love the quality and style of the products that you have purchased. Here are the main characteristics of the Haydn products:
When you purchase a Haydn leather product, you know you have, in your hands, a high-quality item, made from only the best Italian or North American handpicked cowhides.
We have a strong passion for leather and we will not compromise on the quality that is offered to you. Our suppliers know that we only accept leather pieces that are grade A, full-grain and made from the vegetable tanning process.
Full-grain leather is the strongest and most durable leather. Over time, full-grain leather will look nicer and nicer. Full-grain leathers come from a better-quality hide or skin and no sanding processes are applied to its surface thus it offers a natural look and feel. This material turns out to be the most natural of its category and knows no rivals in terms of quality.
The tanning process of all are products is vegetable-tanning. We do not endorse chromium tanning, thus, we make sure that all the leather used in our productions is vegetable-tanned.
Tanning is the process of treating skins and hides of animals to produce leather. Tanning hide into leather involves a process which makes it more durable and less susceptible to decomposition, and also coloring it.
Vegetable tanning uses tannins which occur naturally in the bark and leaves of many plants. Tannins bind to the collagen proteins in the hide and coat them, causing them to become less water-soluble and more resistant to bacterial attack. The process also causes the hide to become more flexible.
More and more companies are using what is called on the market, vegan leather. While some vegan leathers are cork- or kelp-based, the vast majority of faux leather is made of scary materials like polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyurethane and textile-polymer composite microfibres. In other words, generally speaking, ‘vegan leather’ is petroleum based.
The manufacture and incineration of PVC-based synthetics produce one of the most toxic chemicals known to man: dioxins. Found in almost every single modern human’s body, dioxins promote developmental disturbances and increase cancer risks. For theses reasons, Haydn choses, as a company, to not use vegan leather for its products.
Once you have a Haydn leather product in your hands, you will feel the difference and know that you have not encountered leather this good-looking, smooth and durable in your life!
While our watches look like fashion watches, we make sure that the quality specs are much more than that.
All of our watches carry a Swiss movement, have a sapphire glass and have a case made from 316L grade stainless steel, which is chirurgical grade. The stainless is PVD plated, which is more resistant and environmentally friendly than traditional coating processes such as electroplating and painting.
Our movements are supplied from Swiss Company Ronda, which is globally known and founded by William Mosset in 1946 and is now headquartered in Lausen, Switzerland. For more that 70 years, the company has earned a prestigious position within the watch manufacturing sector.
We only work with sapphire glass for our watches because, as watch consumers ourselves, we know that mineral glass is very fragile and scratches easily. Hardness and durability is the main reason for our interest in sapphire glass. On the hardness scale, the only material tougher than sapphire is diamond, thus you will not be frustrated with a scratched-up watch after a couple of weeks of usage!
